Urban Splash Newsplash - April 2025
Welcome to our April 2025 edition of the Urban Splash Newsplash – your handy round-up of all the things Urban Splash
This month, there's news from Port Loop in Birmingham, where we've completed Mansion House and announced a new future for the Tubeworks. We're also welcoming customers to an open day on 26th April. In Sheffield, we were delighted to welcome some local students to Cole Brothers and Park Hill as part of Regeneration Brainery Week. There's some more awards news, and we're looking for a talented Residential Consultant to join our team in Manchester. Read on to find out more.

New homes open day at Port Loop in Birmingham
We’ve completed Mansion House at Port Loop – 58 brand-new, brilliantly designed two-bedroom apartments. We’re welcoming customers into the space on Saturday 26th April for an open day, with our colleagues and mortgage advisors on hand to tell you more about living in the canalside building.

...and new Port Loop amenities too
More great news from Port Loop as CIVIC SQUARE announces it will take 48,000 sq ft of space in the Tubeworks at Port Loop. The space will be turned into amenities for local people and will include a café, community kitchen and microfactory.

Supporting the future of housing
Our colleagues Jonathan Falkingham MBE and Mark Latham joined the Design Council Homes Taskforce, helping the government deliver its new homes target within the 1.5-degree climate threshold. They contributed to a paper recommending reuse and retrofit – an approach we've long championed and applied at Park Hill in Sheffield.

Young minds helping shape the future of Sheffield
We teamed up with Regeneration Brainery, where learners aged 16 and up enjoyed hands-on workshops, mentoring, and site visits to the iconic Cole Brothers and Park Hill in Sheffield. Regeneration Brainery Chief Executive Michelle Steel said the sessions helped "immerse young people in real projects, surrounded by the professionals shaping our cities.”
