Urban Splash Newsplash - November 2021
Welcome to our November edition of Newsplash - a monthly round-up of all things Urban Splash, featuring new homes, scheme launches, commercial news and much more.
This month we have news on our Town House homes at New Islington, Manchester and Inholm, Northstowe in Cambridgeshire, where both are ready for customers to move into by Christmas. In Manchester, there's more great news from our Commercial team who've completed a host of deals over the last quarter, including the last space at Beehive Mill in the city, which was once home to Sankey's nightclub. Our Interior Designer Rachel has been busy giving our Town House show home at Port Loop in Birmingham a makeover, and we're kicking off the festivities at Royal William Yard in Plymouth. Read on to find out more.

A full Beehive in Manchester
We’ve now fully let Beehive Mill in Manchester. A Manc legend, the building was once home to Sankey’s nightclub but we’ve since restored it to create more than 40,000 sq ft of workspace – the last of which has now been let. The lettings are part of a total 13,500 sq ft of deals completed across our portfolio this month - including 5,000 sq ft at the Vanilla Factory and Matchworks buildings in Merseyside. Kicking off the festivities at Royal William Yard
Royal William Yard in Plymouth will play host to a series of festive events from this month, including the return of the much-loved Illuminate light show. Visitors to the Yard will also be able to indulge in new weekend and late-night shopping festive markets starting from 1st December and featuring a selection of the region’s most exciting independent artisan traders.
Home of the month — 6 Guest Street, New Islington
The MEN recently called it one of the city’s most desirable places to live, and you too can get a slice of the action at New Islington where our newest homes are now on sale – including this three-storey, canalside Town House. Offering views over the water, a private terrace, parking and four bedrooms, it’s yours for £495,000.
Workspace of the month — 23 Mills Bakery, Plymouth
Located on the top floor of Mills Bakery, this incredible workspace is at the heart of Royal William Yard in Plymouth. The 5,728 sq ft space features amazing beams, high ceilings and views over the lawn; future occupiers will be surrounded by a brilliant mix of businesses, bars, restaurants, galleries and all the bustle of the Yard.
Who's talking about US?
“Walk through New Islington, with its peaceful waterways and cool independent bars, and it’s not such a giant leap to pretend you’re in Amsterdam, or Copenhagen.”
Manchester Evening News, October 2021
“These houses, created by Urban Splash, stand out due to their distinct red cladding and are a tribute to the Victorian mews.”
Liverpool Echo, October 2021
