Urban Splash Newsplash - April 2022
Welcome to our April edition of Newsplash - a monthly round-up of all things Urban Splash, featuring new homes, scheme launches, commercial news and much more.
This month we’ve got a first look at the newest phase of Park Hill in Sheffield; a preview of our brand new commercial film, and pictures of our 1,000th House by Urban Splash pod. We also look at our latest homes to rent and talk to Sacha Lord about Manchester’s nightlife and his move to our Timber Wharf building in the city.
Brand new pictures from Park Hill
We have now completed our latest work at Park Hill – our iconic Brutalist building in Sheffield. Working with Stirling Prize winning architects Mikhail Riches , we have created 195 duplex homes and these images show the ‘light touch’ approach that has seen subtle and sensitive changes to their exterior. The new homes come following successful earlier phases here, including 260 complete and fully occupied homes in phase 1, and a phase of student accommodation. Just a few homes remain on sale.
Sites, camera, action! Up close in our commercial spaces
Introducing our workspaces across the country. In this new film, our commercial colleagues tell you more about to our 1.1m sq ft of space – ranging from converted mills, a historic naval yard, and a famous bit of Brutalist architecture – each of which has been sensitively restored to create modern workspaces for brilliant businesses. We’d love to show you around some of them.
Creating our 1,000th House by Urban Splash pod
We’ve created our 1,000th House by Urban Splash pod that’s now on route to Port Loop in Birmingham where it will be craned into place as a completed home. It will form a storey of a Row House, our newest typology offering two-, two-and-a-half and three-storey options for customers that’s now on offer at Port Loop, and at East Float at Wirral Waters. It’s been quite a journey so far for House by Urban Splash via which we’ve created innovative MMC homes across 10 sites including New Islington in Manchester, Irwell Riverside in Salford, Smith’s Dock in North Shields, Inholm, Northstowe in Cambridgeshire and Wirral Waters in Merseyside.

A birdseye view of East Float
These brand-new images show our Town House and Row House homes at East Float , the new neighbourhood that we’re creating in partnership with Peel L&P at Wirral Waters. This is the first place you can buy our Row House mews-style homes, with prices from £210,000 for a two bedroom property. Making music in Manchester
We’ve completed deals on more than 10,000 sq ft of workspace in our North West portfolio this month, including a new deal with the team behind The Warehouse Project and Parklife Festival. Sacha Lord, Greater Manchester’s Night Time Economy Advisor, founded both ventures and is expanding his team ahead of a packed-2022 schedule, signing up for more Urban Splash space in Timber Wharf in Castlefield.
