Celebrating two years of House by Urban Splash
It was exactly two years ago that we signed one of the sector’s biggest ever deals, demerging our House by Urban Splash business and joining forces with the world’s biggest housebuilder – Sekisui House – and Homes England. Since then, we’ve delivered hundreds of homes, with a pipleline of more than 1,400, on sites across the country. It’s a period in which we’ve introduced new housing typologies and been appointed on new neighbourhoods in places like Cumbria, Cheshire and Cambridgeshire. Read more on the achievements of the past two years.
Our vision for Wirral Waters is unveiled
This brand-new image gives residents a first look at East Float, the House by Urban Splash neighbourhood that we’re onsite creating at Northbank – part of Wirral Waters in Merseyside. At the centre of the image, you’ll see our vibrant red Row House homes, a new take on the Victorian terrace that’s coming first to the Wirral. They’re surrounded by our award-winning, three-storey Town House homes and Mansion House apartments, in an exciting new waterside neighbourhood. Register your interest ahead of our summer launch.
A new show home that's doing great things
These fresh images are from our newly unveiled House by Urban Splash Town House show home at New Islington in Manchester. This space is filled with designs that will benefit charities too including prints by The Make Bank – a charity run by Liverpool based art and print studio Tom Pigeon. Proceeds from the prints will help tackle creative poverty in North West schools by providing materials, support and inspiration for pupils who want to follow creative careers.
10,000 sq ft of lettings, plus a new bar and restaurant at Royal William Yard
We’ve completed almost 10,000 sq ft of lettings in recent weeks, including 6,234 sq ft to New World Trading Company (NWTC) who will launch the new Club House bar and restaurant at Royal William Yard in Plymouth. NWTC was named one of the fastest growing businesses in the UK by the Sunday Times, and The Club House is its first venture in Plymouth. We have also sold space at Park Hill in Sheffield to awesome furniture company Nest.
Another acquisition by the Urban Splash Residential Fund
The Urban Splash Residential Fund (USR) has invested in our £300m New Islington neighbourhood, acquiring a cluster of 15 apartments that will offer homes for rent. The Mansion House acquisition takes the fund’s total portfolio to 178 homes spread across five UK cities, with a portfolio value exceeding £26m at 98% occupancy. Find out more about the fund here.
Home of the month — LG2 Avro, Manchester
This two-bedroom, two-bathroom home offers more than 1,000 sq ft of living space. You’ll find it in our Avro building, which is nestled between Ancoats, New Islington and the Northern Quarter! We’ve just completed our work restoring the building, creating new homes like LG2 within the fabric of the original brickwork, beams and windows. LG2 is one of the final remaining homes on sale.
Workspace of the month — 3.08 Boat Shed, Salford Quays
We’re making some changes at Boat Shed in the coming weeks, with a new communal working area and coffee offering (watch this space). It’s the latest in a series of updates at the building, including the creation of a riverside garden, perfect for Covid-safe outdoor meetings. 3.08 is perfect for a growing business, offering 292 sq ft of space at a budget friendly £487 per month.
