Haus not house
Canalside living in the thriving market town of Atrincham, Budenberg HAUS Projekte provides 215 apartments, across three buildlings, the original factory and two new buildings designed by Foster + Partners all with private balconies and access to residents gardens.
Foster + Partners took inspiration for the two new buildings form from ocean liners, they cantilever out over the canal in a deliberate dramatic gesture meaning the apartments at the 'prow' of Haus 2 and 3 actually sit over the canal – handy if you like fishing!
There are lots of different types of apartments at Budenberg with one, two and three bedroom so we've got something to suit everyone.
We've also created some pretty indulgent duplex penthouse apartments with south facing terraces, timber decking and in some cases lawned gardens!

Location
Market Town
You'll never be short of something to do in Altrincham. Once described as a small market town in Cheshire, it is now a thriving commuter town, with strong transport links to Manchester as well as a bucket list destination foodies from far and wide flood to.
You can't talk about Altrincham without talking about the market, brainchild of our former colleague Nick Johnson, the old market has been transformed into bustling eurpoean style food market. Winner of the Observer Food Monthlys best market in 2015, they declared it "one of the most exciting food destinations in the country". Eat there, drink there, shop there, explore from there. From Altrincham you can hop on a tram into the city centre or escape it all up the road at Dunham Massey.
Meet the designers
The new buildings at Budenburg, HAUS 2 & HAUS 3, were designed by Foster + Partners, their first homes in the UK to be built outside London. The three storey factory building conversion was designed by Arkheion Architects.
Foster + Partners' architecture is driven by the pursuit of quality, a belief that our surroundings directly influence the quality of our lives, whether in the work place, at home or the public spaces in between. It is not just buildings but urban design that affects our well-being.
