New build beginings
Timber Wharf was our first new build development, designed by Glenn Howells Architects and has made a striking impact upon the landscape at Castlefield. It offers a range of one and two bedroom apartments, with duplex and penthouse apartments and ground floor commercial units.
The upper floors benefit from some of the most stunning views across Manchester and the surrounding area. Every apartment has its own private balcony space or there is also the communal residents garden to enjoy the outdoors. All apartments are fitted to a high specification including timber floors, fitted bathrooms and kitchens with appliances. Exposed concrete ceilings and walls are a great feature at Timber Wharf.

Meet the neighbours
The adapatbale duplex units at ground floor level are is home to some great businesses, including ourselves. Timber Wharf was a natural choice for our head office with its exposed concrete and the floor to ceiling windows both common features in many of our buildings.
It’s the hub of our business, home to accountants, designers, administrators to mention just a few. Well connetced for commuters and locals alike. Our staff can often be found enjoying the outdoor spaces at Timber Wharf and the local amenities that the area has to offer.

Castlefield calling
Located in Castlfield, Timber Wharf has a great community right on the doorstep. A conveneince store round the corner, a couple of bars if you fancy a tipple or a bite to eat. Across the road is the cross fit gym Train and the Castelfield Beauty bar is just next door in Box Works.
Timber Wharf is just a ten minute walk to the city centre along the Bridgewater canal towpath. It has excellent transport links with Cornbrook Metrolink in one direction and Deansgate station in the other, by car there is direct access onto the Mancunian Way and further motorway network.
Meet the designer
Glenn Howells Architects were appointed at Timber Wharf following an international competition. The cross-wall and slab configuration which used high quality pre-cast concrete creating the 6 metre grid framing became the defining identity for the project.
The practice has built a strong reputation over the last 20 years for delivering design excellence and high quality, award winning projects. As well as Timber Wharf they have worked with us on Burton Place and Rotunda.
