Brand new Copper Building image unveiled; new homes launch for sale Saturday 6 October
Joint venture partners Urban Splash and Places for People have unveiled a stunning new image showing what Bristol’s new Copper Building will look like when it completes next year.
With 136 homes at the 4-storey building launching for sale in just a few weeks time, the developers have unveiled the first in a series of computer generated images; this new external shot shows the building’s façade and its perpendicular positioning next to the site’s original Lakeshore Cor-ten building. The image also shows the striking copper material dominating the exterior, as well as the generous glazing which will make homes in the building so light.
Guy Ackernley, director of residential sales at Urban Splash speaking on behalf of the JV said: “Ahead of the launch of the brand new homes at Copper Building next month, we wanted to whet the appetites of our customers and show them, for the first time, how this new structure will look.
“Copper Building is architecturally beautiful, taking much of its inspiration from the Cor-ten building opposite. The glazing on this façade also shows how naturally well lit these properties are going to be, with windows offering residents great views out over the site’s own lake and vast, 10 acres of surrounding green spaces – all of which has been cultivated for our customers’ private use. We can’t wait to bring these homes to market in a few weeks time.”
Copper Building is built on the site of the former Imperial Tobacco factory; 136 apartments will be created offering 1 and 2 bedroom homes all of which will complete next year.
Ensuring that the building naturally connects to Lakeshore’s existing community, an impressive new entranceway has been created within Copper Building, opening up a view down to the completed Cor-ten building and echoing the past connection between the factory and the structure that was formerly home to the Imperial Tobacco offices.
Internal images are set to be released in the coming weeks, showing in further detail just what each home will look like. Copper Building has been designed by Ferguson Mann, the architecture practice founded by former Bristol Mayor George Ferguson.
Residents moving into the building next year will benefit from 10 acres of gardens as well as being in close proximity to the centre of Bristol.
