Final chance for HomeBuy Direct at Lister Mills
Award winning regeneration company Urban Splash has announced that there are just four HomeBuy Direct apartments left at Lister Mills in Bradford.
The Government backed scheme, which is available on homes at the historic Velvet Mill building in Manningham, is a great initiative that allows purchasers to own 100% of their own home whilst only having to obtain a mortgage for 70% of the property's value. The remaining 30% is provided as an interest free equity loan for up to five years. HomeBuy Direct will cease to exist at the end of September, giving customers just a couple of weeks to get their homes reserved and through the buying process.
The initiative is also available on homes at Saxton in Leeds.
Richard Oakes of Urban Splash said: "This scheme has proved incredibly popular amongst our customers in Yorkshire. I believe that's down to the fact that it offers a great and affordable solution for our customers looking to get onto the property ladder, resolving the issue of large deposits and lack of mortgage availability which many of them are facing."
Velvet Mill forms one of two buildings transformed by Urban Splash at Lister Mills in Bradford. The Grade II listed scheme now comprises homes and work spaces including a community cafe, theatre company and Bradford Bowling College. Limited commercial space remains in both buildings.
Concluded Richard: "Homes at Velvet Mill carry so much character, so much history and they're situated in a fantastic new community. HomeBuy Direct really has been a great affordability vehicle for our customers and we hope that the remaining opportunities available will help even more people to buy their own home."
