More awards success for Urban Splash
Award winning regeneration company Urban Splash has added to its accolades today, scooping a Daily Telegraph British Homes Award for Mills Bakery.
The Grade I listed building, located in the stunning waterfront Royal William Yard scheme in Plymouth, was awarded the Best Conversion award at the event held in London last night.
It’s the third award that the developer has picked up for Mills Bakery and comes following its Green Apple award and RIBA award for architecture presented earlier this year. It takes the company’s awards total to 295.
Chairman Tom Bloxham said: “Buildings like Mills Bakery are a delight to work on. It is fantastically designed, rich in heritage, and presented us with an equal measure of challenges and opportunities. Working with our architects Gillespie Yunnie we were able to create something which suits 21st century living without compromising its history and it makes me proud to have our efforts reinforced with prestigious awards like these.”
