“Park Hill just felt like home”
With a history in Sheffield spanning back to her university days, the Steel City has always held a special place in Heather’s heart. When a two-bedroom apartment at Park Hill came available, Heather ‘jumped at the chance’ to view.
“I’d had my eye on the apartments at Park Hill for a few years – I’ve viewed and lived in many different apartments in Sheffield, and I genuinely don’t think anything compares.
“Not only do you feel like you’re part of something bigger than just a building, I love how different the apartments look to anything on the market in Sheffield and even beyond. All of the other apartments I viewed in the city felt like hotel rooms, but Park Hill just felt like home.
When asked if she could possibly choose just one favourite part of her home, Heather told us: “My balcony with the views stretching over the city has to be my personal favourite – I’ve actually got an ice tub out there, so the view is a nice distraction!
“It’s a difficult choice though as I love so many parts of my apartment – the picture window in the bedroom is a close second to the balcony. I love the light it brings in and it’s a real hit with guests whenever they visit.
“This apartment is hands down the best place I’ve ever lived. I love having friends and family over as the space is great for entertaining and everyone who has visited has commented on how nice the apartment is and how at home I seem here.
“The community aspect is what really makes this place. It’s easy to make friends here – as soon as I moved in, I joined the WhatsApp and Facebook groups and started to connect with people.
“Even after only living here for just over a year I’ve met some really incredible people who I get to see all the time too as we all live so close.
When asked about her future at Park Hill, Heather told us: “I definitely want to stay here, I can’t see myself wanting to move anytime soon.
“I’ve recently signed up with Friends of Park Hill to be an assistant tour guide so I can learn more about the building’s history and have the opportunity to share the Park Hill story with more people.
“I’m really grateful to the whole team at Urban Splash for supporting me so far. A big thanks to David and Adele who have been brilliant since the very first day I enquired. I’m looking forward to many more happy years living here.”
