Trading the hustle and bustle of London for the Northern grit of Sheffield can be quite the lifestyle change, but one that has suited Kath down to the ground. She’s now renting a one-bedroom apartment at Park Hill, our Brutalist beauty which stands proudly overlooking Sheffield city centre.
“I’ve admired Park Hill for years, captivated by its history and how Urban Splash has transformed the development to future proof it for generations to come,” says Kath, explaining how she was drawn to the apartment from the very beginning.
Relocating from London to Sheffield to move in with her partner, May, Kath says: “I’d decided I was going to make the move to Sheffield and happened to be visiting the city when the apartment at Park Hill was available to rent, so I jumped at the chance to view it.
“We met the residential consultant, Dave, at our appointment who went on to guide us through a totally seamless process. He was always on hand to answer our questions – you can tell he truly knows the building inside out as absolutely nothing phases him!
“We instantly fell in love with the apartment. Totally unsurprising, given its light and airy feel, the generous living space and the dual aspect meaning we can make the most of the views.
“The apartments at Park Hill are simply stunning. You can tell that they’ve been thoughtfully designed to be lived in but also look amazing. Having a totally blank canvas to be able to put our stamp on has been brilliant too and it’s all come together really nicely.”
When asked about her favourite part of her home, Kath told us: “The balcony is an absolute winner for me and is without a doubt my favourite part of the whole apartment. I’ve spent many hours sat out overlooking the gardens since we moved in, it’s so peaceful and we feel so spoilt having our own little escape just a stone’s throw from the city centre.”
Since leaving the capital for the steel city, Kath has been delighted with the variety of amenities available on her doorstep.
“We’ve settled into our new home and the community really well in a short time. Having gems like South Street Kitchen and The Pearl on our doorstep is such a treat and they’re a real hive of energy and warmth.
“The location of Park Hill puts us in prime position to access the whole city and beyond, whether we’re walking five minutes down the road to the train station or to access the tram network or strolling right into town.
“I really feel like we’re exactly where we’re meant to be – we’re very much planning to stay at Park Hill and soak up everything Sheffield and Park Hill has to offer.”
