Urban Splash announces more than 17,000 sq ft of lockdown deals - confirming new occupiers across commercial portfolio
Award winning regeneration company Urban Splash has completed deals on 17,264 sq ft of space since July, welcoming occupiers across its nationwide portfolio.
The majority of the deals were done in Liverpool, with almost 9,000 sq ft of space let at the Matchworks – a commercial community in South Liverpool which is home to a diverse range of businesses. Other Merseyside deals include a letting at the Vanilla Factory to Yoma Digital Marketing.
A further 6,000 sq ft of space was let to businesses in the Manchester region, where beauty academy AK International agreed terms on the 1,229 sq ft Pod in Manchester – an iconic piece of architecture overlooking the Mancunian Way in Castlefield. Additional deals were completed at the Schoolhouse in Trafford Park, with 3,000 sq ft let to construction business Recom Solutions and the Human Support Group, as well as a 1,279 sq ft deal at the Boat Shed in Salford Quays.
Urban Splash commercial manager Nicky Harries said: “Contrary to the broader trends, we’ve been busy welcoming new occupiers in the past couple of months and I am delighted to have finalised these deals.
“While working trends are undeniably changing, we are still seeing a demand for flexible workspace. Our appealing portfolio offers that; we create brilliantly designed workspace and we’re an accommodating landlord. Our flexible offering allows tenants to shape their space as their business changes – an important factor for our customers right now.”
Further south, Urban Splash has also completed deals at Royal William Yard in Plymouth, a stunning collection of Grade I and II Listed buildings which have been transformed into homes, workspaces, leisure, arts and retail spaces. There, more than 2,300 sq ft was let to businesses including restaurant Hook and Line.
Concluded Urban Splash commercial director Emily Handslip: “I’m really pleased to see that we’re attracting brilliant businesses into our nationwide portfolio and congratulate these organisations as they operate from our communities.
“Driven by ongoing demand, we’re expanding our offer again this year and we are onsite creating more great workspaces throughout the country at Royal William Yard in the Grade I Listed Melville building, at Port Loop in Birmingham, Park Hill in Sheffield and New Islington in Manchester. We look forward to bringing those diverse new spaces to the market in the near future.”
