Urban Splash kicks off 2018 with Commercial deals success
Award winning regeneration company, Urban Splash has kicked off another successful year with the completion of 20,000 sq ft of deals across its North West commercial portfolio.
Leading the deals is a sizeable 5,500 sq ft letting at the Matchworks in South Liverpool; the deal there to cosmetic dentist Theo Nova means that all studio spaces at the scheme are now fully occupied. Other deals in Liverpool include Solicitors AW Law Ltd and recruitment business Future Proof who have collectively taken over 1,250 sq ft at the Vanilla Factory in the city’s Ropewalks area.
In Manchester meanwhile, Urban Splash demonstrated its successful collaboration with co-working operators as Beehive Lofts renewed its lease within Beehive Mill and exchanged on further space currently under development; the deal means that occupiers can take anything from a single desk to more than 1,000 sq ft in the building. The co-working offering is the second of its kind in an Urban Splash building, with the developer offering similar flexible workspace with Spaces at its Tea Factory in Liverpool.
Speaking of the deals, Urban Splash's Nicky Harries said: "I’m delighted that we have completed these lettings. We’ve revisited and refurbished a lot of our commercial spaces this past year, creating great communal amenities and shared spaces at Tea Factory in Liverpool, Boat Shed in Manchester, and with similar plans afoot at Vanilla Factory in Liverpool and the Matchworks; all this helps us attract great tenants like those we’ve welcomed this month.
“Furthermore, our flexible approach to leases means that we can continue to welcome a range of businesses, be they large scale multi-nationals looking for regional bases, through to start-ups looking for a short term agreement with an option to take more space as they grow. We can flexibly provide the very best accommodation to support businesses’ development.”
Other deals at Beehive Mill - the most recent addition to the Urban Splash commercial portfolio - include creative design studio Alphabet Design which has also upsized into a refurbished unit at the scheme, as well as new tenants Ashley James Consulting. At Ducie House in Manchester, Revitalised Ltd has upsized on its space – while at Timber Wharf in Castlefield, architect firm Just H has signed up to the final remaining 1,504 sq ft unit at the Glenn Howells designed scheme.
