Urban Splash to host Public Exhibition of plans for the next phase of regeneration at Park Hill
A public exhibition on the plans for the next phase of the regeneration of Park Hill including 200 more homes and more ground floor commercial space is to be held next week at Park Hill. The public exhibition and consultation is a chance for residents and businesses to see the plans, ask questions of the project team and provide feedback before a detailed planning application is submitted.
Phase 1 of Park Hill is complete. 600 people now live and work at Park Hill and there are currently 260 homes, 10 contemporary workspaces and the new Grace Owen Nursery. The public realm has also been improved with attractive landscaping and seating areas.
Urban Splash will be sharing the detailed plans for Phase 2 which is adjacent to the completed Phase 1 block. There will also be some early outline information about the proposals for Phase 3 including 330 student housing units by student specialist developer Alumno Developments This will be in advance of a separate public exhibition and consultation with more detail of the student proposals later in the year.
Simon Gawthorpe, Managing Director of Urban Splash comments: “We’ve been on site since 2007 so it is great that we can fulfil our original ambitions for Park Hill and some of that potential has been realised with the completion of the first phase. Now we hope the public will embrace the exciting plans for Phase 2. I would encourage anybody who lives, works or visits the area regularly to come along and let us know what you think - we look forward to hearing all the comments and these will be considered prior to submitting detailed plans.”
For those unable to attend the exhibition, the proposals will be available to view on the Urban Splash website ec2-63-34-210-119.eu-west-1.compute.amazonaws.com from 6 April 2017.
