Urban Splash welcomes new colleagues – including returning development director David Warburton
Award winning regeneration company Urban Splash has announced the appointment of three seasoned property colleagues to its business, each supporting its work in creating new neighbourhoods across the country.
David Warburton joins as development director, bringing a wealth of experience from Homes England and the West Midlands Combined Authority. The role is David’s second stint at Urban Splash following his secondment at the company in 2020; he will now focus on the delivery of large scale regeneration schemes, notably delivering a £750 million redevelopment initiative with Swansea Council that will see Urban Splash work on across various sites in the city.
Speaking of his appointment David said: “I am delighted to be back working with Urban Splash colleagues and their inimitable ambition and passion for regeneration.
“I had the pleasure of working with the company for a year from 2020 to 2021 as part of a secondment from Homes England. The company’s appetite for innovation hasn’t waned, and I’m incredibly excited to be back and ready to deliver innovative new neighbourhoods in Swansea and other parts of the country over the coming years.”
Other new appointments include asset manager Peter Hadfield who joins from Peel L&P to help promote Urban Splash’s nationwide commercial portfolio, marketing the company’s workspaces in cities like Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield and Plymouth.
Suzie Scott also joins as Executive Assistant, supporting the directors and executive board. Suzie brings a wealth of sector experience to Urban Splash having worked with Sequre Property Investment, Pinnacle and Ascend Properties.
Urban Splash CEO Julian Curnuck added: “Our forward pipeline comprises 4,500 new homes and 500,000 sq ft of commercial space over the next five years so we’ve been working behind the scenes – growing and investing in our team as we prepare to deliver those projects.
“Our newest colleagues each bring their own brand of ambition and we are delighted to have them with us as we get ready to create new places in which people can live, work and play.”
Urban Splash is currently onsite creating new homes and workspaces at sites including Park Hill in Sheffield, Royal William Yard in Plymouth and Port Loop in Birmingham. Find out more.
